Eve was born to Trevor Eve (actor) and Sharon Maughan, a writer. Jack George and Jack George are her twin brothers. They have been raised in both their home in the United Kingdom as well as Los Angeles. She studied at Bedales School, and took A-Levels in the London's Westminster School. In her gap-year she was at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Then she attended St Catherine's College Oxford, she studied English. At Oxford she appeared in student productions like An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers (which was a tour to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) Scenes from an Execution as well as The Colour of Justice. Eve's TV credits include BBC series The Rotters Club Poirot Hawking and the film Stage Beauty (2004). Eve had a prominent role in two movies from 2006: Starter for 10 & Big Nothing. Both she and the co-star Simon Pegg used American accents. The beginning the year 2006, she was spending her time in India for work on the film Losing Gemma the mini-series that focuses on backpackers. Eve was in Trevor Nunn's two stage productions. Her younger brother, Guyan Mitra is a well-known journalist who has been featured in Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
