Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, Aviano Italy), American actress. Her fame is for portraying naive characters that are engaging and relatable. Adams is born in Italy and her father was with the U.S. military and she lived living in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. At the beginning of 1990, Adams started dancing and performing professionally with Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to a regional theatre in Minnesota which was where she got her first role in a mock documentary film on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). The actress moved to Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with an innocent, but funny contestant. The couple also had children Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer who signed her a contract join MGM during the 1940s. Through the 1960s, Leigh appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
